Watchword Press is a nonprofit publishing house dedicated to producing, publishing, and disseminating cutting-edge literary works to a wide audience. We seek to publish emerging writers who are generally underrepresented by the larger, market-driven, commercial publishing houses. While we publish a variety of works, our main focuses are on emerging American writers and modern translations.

At Watchword Press, we are concerned that a small number of media conglomerates are controlling most of the publishing conduits in the United States. In America today, six publishing houses now control 4/5 of the overall market. These statistics can have a daunting effect on emerging and experimental writers who seek to be published. Watchword Press is committed to providing a new, editorial-driven, and creative outlet for these innovative and inspired writers.
